A 2nd Omaha U2 concert???

Post by projectman »

I heard on the radio today that U2 was working on a second concert for Omaha. Has anyone else heard this?

No, but that would be so cool. Did they go into much detail?

It wouldn't suprise me. Dave Matthews does that a lot too.

It would make sense since there's an open day after the Omaha show. And since it's the smallest venue another show would be good for others who didn't get tickets right away.

Landing the show was already going to be a good selling point for future concerts but having 2 U2 concerts would be Fing amazing. It'll make up for losing Elton John. :(

well you know... since we lost Elton John, the city fathers have been trying to book a double bill with Barry Manilow and ABBA.
My son got a 27 on his ACT. No this score is not as high as what Jeff's son achieved. But one has to remember the paternal gene-pool my son has to overcome. On a PGPAB [Paternal Gene-Pool Adjusted Basis], my son's score is a 37 and Jeff's son's PGPAB ACT score is 19.

And they might get Helen Reddy too!

I have been wondering if this was a posibility. After looking at their tour schedual for other locations MANY of the locations have two shows on back to back nights. It also looks like, but I am not sure, that they were not anounced at the same time. I gather this from some of the old press releases I found on line announcing a U2 show with one date and then there is two on the schedual as you look now.

Thats encouraging. I wonder how they could swing that though. Because if I'm not mistaken, they are playing in Omaha on a Thursday night and Salt Lake City on Saturday. The band could fly out there with no problem but I would think they would need all day Friday to get the gear out there and set up again.

That is exactly what Madonna and Kylie Minogue have done on their tours. Madonna announced one date for Chicago and ended up with four.
