What makes you feel that way?
IMO they are greedy heartless bastards. They'll do anything for a buck. They essentially subsidize their profits through food stamps and other government assistance by not paying their employees a living wage. They are the kings of corporate welfare. Anyone who has a problem with handouts should despise these people.

Meanwhile Costco manages to do just fine without the government assistance.

Businesses buy land all the time to prevent competitors from building. But it's allegedly Walmart in this case, so of course it's evil.

I never said the word "evil", you did. If you don't mind Walmart buying out land and preventing better companies to come in then you're an idiot.

Eh, the name Wal-Mart is practically synonymous with the word 'evil.'

You can't do that - it'll just rebuild itself. You have to take out the heart. I'm pretty sure it's located in the tv section.

Sorry, I guess I don't see much difference between the manipulative marketing of Costco and Sam's club. Both sell large quantities of |expletive| and occasional name brand close-out or B-level items cheaply by selling them in large blister packs out of a huge energy sucking warehouse.

Other that Costco is publicly liberal and Walmart only is privately Democrat, is there really much different?

Hmm I have never seen any "manipulative" marketing from Costco, nor have I seen them outbid a different company for reasons just so the other company can't build a store. Also, Costco pays their employees extremely well and are the best when it comes to customer service. So, there is definitely some differences.

If the rumor was true that Costco was going to build in the first place but Walmart (Sam's) bought the plot, then Costco needs to do a better job of masking their land purchases.
