Dante's Pizza - Blackstone

Post by magis »

I ran into one of the owners of Dantes. She confirmed that their new store will take the place of Brite Ideas in Blackstone District. Finally we don't have to drive out to Legacy for arguably the best pizza in Omaha.

NICE! I love that place. Did she say when she planned for it to be open?

Nolis is the best pizza in omaha and it is already in blackstone. too many restaurants in that area. demographic in blackstone is not like their west omaha clientele.

Having eaten at Nolis, and at Brick oven, not sure that Nolis is best, but it's certainly good. Agree completely that there are now too many restaurants in that area. Already too many bars.

Yeah, I saw it on Friday and thought it looked like a great addition to the neighborhood.

Dante to close Blackstone location, reopen space as full-service Italian restaurant
Sarah Baker Hansen / World-Herald staff writer wrote:The final day for Dante Pizzeria Napoletana will be April 13. In the two weeks following, the space will be remodeled into Forno, which is Italian for “oven.” It’s expected to open in late April

Ok, dad. I guess I walked into that one.

So anyway, will the current pizza recipes (or something similar) remain on the menu?

From the article.

“The restaurant will serve wood-fired Italian shared plates, including vegetables, whole fish, chicken and beef. The menu will rotate seasonally, and include new pizza selections. The only holdover from the previous restaurant’s menu will be the Margherita pizza.

Forno’s menu won’t include traditional “appetizers” and “entrées,” Strawhecker said. Rather, diners will choose a handful of items to share. Dishes will be delivered as they are ready.”
