Capitol District Bars and Resturaunts.

Post by swgiust »

Any news, rumors, thoughts on the Capital Districts restaurants and or bars?? In one article they stated 4 leases had been signed. Anybody have any info?? It's great to see the hotel and apartments open, but the entertainment value is what is going to make or break this area.

I've heard:

-Steak and seafood restaurant, corner of 10th and Capitol
-German bar/beer hall, space under hotel convention center
-country bar called Beer Can Alley
-Irish bar
-stock market bar called The Echange

Only a couple real names and there are plenty of other spaces to go. Off to a good start IMO.

When is this portion of the Marriott development supposed to be finished? This winter? Next spring?

Seemed like the St Patricks Day events went well. Busy all day.

This might be the perfect venue for an eomhaha forums member gathering. Maybe some Saturday or Sunday afternoon, when the weather finally warms.
Any interest in this?

Count me in. I think several of us have been thinking along similar lines.
My son got a 27 on his ACT. No this score is not as high as what Jeff's son achieved. But one has to remember the paternal gene-pool my son has to overcome. On a PGPAB [Paternal Gene-Pool Adjusted Basis], my son's score is a 37 and Jeff's son's PGPAB ACT score is 19.

Maybe the weather will warm up enough by May to fully enjoy this space. Or maybe we should wait until the other announced restaurants open later this summer. Either way it sounds like fun. I recall when many of us met at the Venice Inn several years ago. That was a nice time.
