Ross Dress for Less (Old Sports Authority 173rd and Maple)

Post by MKMScat20 »

Anyone know anything about what’s going on here?

Wife and I went to Super Target for groceries last night and there looked to be some major renovation work going on in the interior. Just didn’t know if anyone had some better info.

Have a great day!

Sorry for the late response, but as far as I know this is still on the market.
Wasn't this just recently a Halloween City? Maybe they are only cleaning the place up again...

The work going on there seems to be fairly signnificant. I'd be surprised if we don't hear an announcement soon.

Did a Target run with my wife tonight and the facade of the building is... Gone. I believe this indeed constitutes substantial work... WOW  All this for a Ross Dress for Less???

I think the Halloween City was in the old Gordmans on 147th. That was still empty on my last trip to Lowes.

The Sports Authority was a Halloween Town two years ago. They are bouncing around abandoned stores. It's been empty since then.

Stopped by earlier this week: Looks like they are splitting the space into 2 bays. Tall metal wall going up nearly halfway between Target and PetSmart.

I just noticed that Sunday. It seems like they have been working on this for quite some time.

Omaha's finally get that store! FINALLY!!
I can get pushed out because I'm "too much" for some. Then, an observer of me comes suddenly swooping in to "fill my shoes." People are always more accepting of the new one, because their feathers aren't truly ruffled by them. (Yawn) I can count on it every time.

There is actually one already open on L street. This would be a second location. It's odd this renovation is taking so long.

There seemed to have been some major dirt movement during the renovation. The first several weeks had trucks digging on the backside of the building and lots of dirt out front. Work was only on Ross and not on the smaller bay. My guess is a plumbing/water issue before they started the bigger upgrades (like the facade) and then they’ll get to the smaller space between the Target and the Ross when they get closer to open.
