Does anybody have any idea who the Planning Director for Omaha will be? We need somebody to step in and pick up on the momentum that Omaha has had for the past few years.
They don't have the position posted on the City's employment page, which leads me to believe they'll probably be requiring the services of an outside consulting firm to find the right candidate for such an upper level position. I'm sure they'll consider internally as well, but they would be silly not to expand the search to a much broader area.
Steve Jensen (Assistant PD currently) would have been my choice, but he is planning on retiring as well. No one else has the experience in the department. Definitely will be new blood.
