Bonefish Grill coming to Omaha

Post by nebport5 »

It looks like Omaha will finally get a seafood franchise after for so long being overlooked and greatly underserved.

not really a rumor, I have been informed that currently site negociations are underway.

If you're unfamiliar with Bonefish its under Outback Intl's umbrella of concepts(Carraba's, Cheese Burger, Fleming's).

it's not inexpensive, but the food is good.

Also, they're hoping to have it open by the first of the year. I'm betting on a west O location.

according to the map, looks like the closest one is chicago, and there are barely any at all west of there

speaking of seafood, anyone see the new seafood grill moving in at the shoppes at aksarben village, i think it is called "Joes" should be open fairly soon

This is a little off topic, but does Omaha have any "Midwest Seafood" locations? There is one in Lincoln and it is a really good place to get seafood.

I sure hope you're referring to Joe's Crabshack. Let's get Rowdy!!!
My old signature got too old. So old it was getting almost as old me as me. Yeah, it was up there in years.

Good God, I wouldn't wish Joe's Crab Shack on my worst enemy. Other than it is the only restaurant with an outdoor play area for kids, there is no reason whatsoever to go there. The food is nearly inedible.

I've always liked the Joe's Crab shacks. The atmosphere is fun and the food is pretty good. Granted it's not Boston or Maine. But I would eat there if they built here.

you can move this out of the rumors section. Bonefish is official, the lease has been signed.

It will be located at 90th & Dodge with a scheduled opening in July.

side note: KC's should open in May.

(not sure how I missed this thread earlier) What, Red Lobster isn't a seafood franchise?

The Islamorada Fish Company restaurant will be a great seafood addition as well to the metro.

Good question, 90th and Dodge is just down the way from my pad, I don't know where it could go there. Im betting its gonna be down the road and be in front of Westroads. Sounds like a nice addition to the Big O.

I'm not sure which corner, I was thinking the southeast side, but isn't there a big walgreens there? I can't quite picture it, having been out of Omaha for awhile.

The managing partner for the KC location just told me 90th and Dodge, don't think he's familiar with Omaha to be more specific.

Do we have a written source for this that verifies a Bonefish Grill for Omaha is official? Once we do, we can move the thread out of the Rumors section..

Me, joke about Red Lobster, no way........

Islamorada Fish Company will be part of Bass Pro Shops. From an earlier story I posted....
The Islamorada Fish Company is still taking shape in the northeast corner of the building. Michael Cox, Bass Pro's promotions manager in Council Bluffs, said it is now scheduled to open at the end of February. The high-end restaurant will feature fresh seafood.
