I love the guy with the fake mustache and sombrero.  Something tells me he's wearing lederhosen.

Gahhh.... Sometimes I feel like Lincoln is kicking Omaha's butt with respect to image and development.

Not a fan of "O! what a city" then, are you?

On a related note, I'm going to pitch a new slogan to Chicago: "C! you in Chicago!"  On second thought, maybe not.

When I was in high school, I didn't strongly consider going to UNL for college. It just seemed to cliche and I didn't think it could be that fun of a college town the many times I'd been there. But that was before I turned 21. After four years at Iowa State and also getting out to see a few other college towns, I finally had an opportunity to go out in Lincoln legally able to go into bars. I was amazed Lincoln is an awesome college town. It blew Ames out of the water. All the bars are unique and fun and there are many great restaurants too. The Haymarket District has a lot of character and with all the new stuff they're building, it's going to be amazing.

I like this new image they're pushing for. Those buses would look pretty cool. However, with some of their ideas it seems like they're trying to force certain facets of culture to happen; like they're telling Lincoln to "say something funny".

Cool ideas, but I agree that it could seem a little forced.  It makes me appreciate Omaha's more natural process of development where cool ideas come from all different walks of life.  That's why I'm happy with North Downtown's slower but steady progress; it won't look like a suburban lifestyle center.

Though I get the impression that this is mostly about the branding elements for Lincoln, i.e. the arrows, and they included some possible ideas to get the ball rolling.  Overall I think it's a good way to give Lincoln a little jumpstart.

I sent the rebranding to Brand New (a well known blog that covers new logos & identities) for fun to see if they'd review it.

All I got from that stupid promo video was that Lincoln is saying, "We have people with tattoos and nose rings, hippies, and we like to call ourselves groovey."

Whoa! The dude in the facebook picture is married to my cousin.

Did Archrival contribute to this branding?

Kinda corny, but I love this new mentality Lincoln is embracing.
