Fantastic news can't wait to see the renderings and for an empty lot to be filled.

Hudl is one heck of a company, I don't think I've seen a company expand that quickly. Glad they're keeping the HQ in state.

The sports video editing software company, which in less than a decade has grown from a three-person startup to nearly 300 employees and $30 million a year in sales, plans a seven-story, 110-foot-tall building at Canopy and P streets in the West Haymarket.

Awesome investment for Lincoln. Hudl is doing great things for the city.

Apparently this building is 30 feet taller than the Haymarket restrictions. I bet they allow it though.

I believe the Planning Commission and one other Commission (Preservation perhaps?) already voted to allow it. The building to the north of their future headquarters was already approved to be 25 feet or so taller, so they basically are just making the entire block the same height. One old stick-in-the-mud on the Preservation Commission wondered why they even have restrictions as they seem to hand out exemptions like "candy at a parade." A well known grump (Berwyn) if you ask me.

Probably good to have them so they can make sure that if the project is too tall that it still respects the district that they want. Easier to allow exemptions than to enforce a rule that doesn't exist.

I am constantly being impressed by development of the Haymarket district. Omaha lacks anything of this caliber.

I will give you that haymarket as a single area of development may be more active than omaha, but it is just that: a single development. What omaha has done city wide blows the doors off lincoln.

For the love of God let's keep the Omaha V. Lincoln discussion out of this.

Indeed.

It's a great looking building in a great area made by a great company in the state. That's the focus here.

I had an opportunity to be in the Hudl offices this past Friday. Nice offices. I think the person giving us the tour said there is 52 people now working there with group for 72. In Lincoln I think he said there were 200 to 250 at this point and they had just recently had the groundbreaking for the new office building

Don't have any pictures to show but the steel framework is really coming together on the new Hudl building. I'm guessing it's up at least 6 stories now.

Silicone Prairie sounds like a different kind of industry to me lol.

Just a couple of weeks shy of their 10th anniversary, sportstech company Hudl celebrated by raising the final beam to the top of their new world headquarters. Scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2017, the building has created a new image on the Lincoln skyline by reaching its full height of 105 feet.

Governor Pete Ricketts, Mayor Chris Beutler, and representatives of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce were among the dignitaries who joined “Hudlies” in watching the orange beam filled with signatures lifted to the top of the structure.

“Energetic developments like this are redefining Lincoln,” Beutler said. “It puts us in front of the nation as a great place to live and work.”

Awesome! Go Lincoln! Great town...that just keeps getting better!
I can get pushed out because I'm "too much" for some. Then, an observer of me comes suddenly swooping in to "fill my shoes." People are always more accepting of the new one, because their feathers aren't truly ruffled by them. (Yawn) I can count on it every time.

Not exactly sure just what to do as they're showing up for me. Could it be the browser you're using or does that make a difference? I'm using Google Chrome. I'll try to work on it when I get home from work tonight, I'll have a little more time then.

I typically use Google Crome and they do not show up there. I just tried IE and Foxfire with no success either.

Are you linking to a photo hosting site that only you have access to?

“We really tried to listen to our employees and make sure that we were developing a space as innovative and forward-thinking as they were,” said Scott. “We wanted to make sure the space challenged people in a positive way, but also allowed them to do the best work that they could do in a comfortable, happy environment that they wanted to be in day after day.”

Founded 10 years ago, Hudl provides video review and performance analysis tools for sports teams and athletes at every level. Approximately 350 of Hudl’s over 1,000 employees moved into the 4th through 7th floors at the end of November. Scott thinks they can comfortably accommodate 600 to 800 employees total.

The 4th and 5th floors are the main work areas, the 6th floor is reserved for a huge audio/visual production facility and game room, and the 7th floor contains the cafeteria. Nelnet is moving into the 2nd floor, and the 1st and 3rd floors are open for leasing.
Worth clicking the link. Lots of interior photos available.
