Former Swanson Russell office to be redeveloped
Their $4 million plan for redeveloping the building involves demolishing most of it but keeping the distinctive two-story facade.

The building currently is three stories tall but would grow to five, with 29 market rate apartments on the four upper floors and about 3,800 feet of retail space on the ground level.

Stricker said there are no plans to move his store across the street.

This is such a great building, good to see they are keeping the facade and adding two floors.

Looks like this project is no complete. It's nice, if not remarkable. It's a good use of a pre-existing building, though I wish the article had a full picture of the completed building.

I know in the Metro we have had a couple project announced/started incorporating adding floors to existing structures (Wells Fargo and Anglim buildings). Are there any buildings in Downtown that could be 'stacked' on for greater density?
