Green Flash Brewing Announces Third Brewery

http://thefullpint.com/beer-news/green- ... d-brewery/
The Full Pint wrote:(San Diego, CA) – Less than one year after opening doors to their second brewery on the east coast, Green Flash Brewing Co. announces they are expanding into the Midwest and opening a third location in Lincoln, NE. They have purchased a 10,000-square-foot production facility and tasting room with a restaurant in the Nebraska state capital, and will join Lincoln’s burgeoning craft beer community. The new brewery was purchased intact, and Green Flash expects the tasting room, restaurant, and brewhouse to be open and operating by the end of this year. Upon opening, Green Flash will be able to offer fresh beer with regional prices in the Midwest, and will focus on the consumer connection in their Lincoln tasting room. The move reveals Green Flash’s long-term strategy to increase their strength as a national brand by establishing regional footholds in key cities across the United States.

I moved it for you. I love their IPA's, and may be with a brewery we will get some more one-off beers?

The article says...
The turn-key space includes first-class brewing, tasting room, and restaurant equipment. When it is up-and-running, the facility will employ 20-plus locals who will fill roles including front and back of house as well as brewing positions. This will be the first full-scale restaurant venture by Green Flash, and approximately 2,000 square feet of the space will be dedicated to food and beer service for about 100-seats.
So by "Turn Key" do they mean the shell of the building is already up, or are they buying some existing brewery?

Wow, the bought the old Ploughshare Brewery!

http://www.westcoastersd.com/2017/08/16 ... -facility/
west coaster wrote:Today, Green Flash announced its recent purchase of a 10,000-square-foot brewing facility at 1630 P Street in Lincoln, Nebraska. The brewery, which was previously owned and operated by Ploughshare Brewing Company, was acquired intact, and includes both tasting room and restaurant components. Laying down stakes in the Cornhusker State will allow for faster delivery and better regional pricing to key Midwest metropolises, including Denver, Kansas City and Minneapolis, as well as surrounding states such as Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Wyoming and the Dakotas. This is part of an ongoing effort by the company to establish regional footholds in key cities across the country. According to Hinkley, there is no target number in mind, but the Lincoln facility will not be the last for Green Flash.

Wow. It really has the feel of a great restaurant that tries to expand to a second location and ends up wiping out the whole company. Hope they can right the ship.

Looks like they opened up a few weeks ago, and are getting good reviews.

I really liked the food and the beer. It's worth another stop in my opinion.

Stopped in Green Flash after the game yesterday. Very nice place inside. Beer was good and bartenders knowledgeable about their beers. One of them told us that they go through ‘classes’ when hired plus there was ongoing ‘tasting training’
We are the people our parents warned us about.

Biz Buzz: Kinkaider has plans for former Green Flash spot in Lincoln
According to a liquor license application filed last week, Kinkaider Brewing is planning something there called Boombox Social. Based on the application, it looks like it might be some kind of event center.
