Creating a public square with off-street parking and offices near 13th and P streets should be Lincoln's first priority if civic leaders want to revitalize downtown and attract people and new businesses.

Committee Chairman Cecil Steward citing a recent editorial, he said Lincoln has the potential to grow faster and larger than Omaha.

Good for Lincoln. I know some disparage Lincoln, but until the wave of development in downtown Omaha over the past few years, Lincoln had a better urban core. I am glad to see that they want to continue to improve. The Antelope Valley project, new arena and this plan will help keep the downtown vital and pedestrian friendly.
