Holy heck, that is really |expletive| high. I would have been petrified to sit in that very top row.

Very nice picture...I can see the next big upgrade will probably be a new video board.  At the time when this one was built it was one of the largest in the country and now some other schools have passed it.  But what a great view already.

I get weak in the knees seeing pictures from that high up, and even from the top rows of the Pinnacle.

I had the opportunity to play at pregame and halftime for the Orange Bowl in 2009 in high school. The seats they had for us at Dolphin Stadium were up in the nosebleed section. During the national anthem, they did a flyover with a fighter jet and I almost fainted. Ever since then I have had strong dislike of heights.

Aw come on you can never be too high.... in Memorial Stadium.. with the advances in video boards recently we should build a new screen.. have also heard rumblings about the stadium starting the process of upgrading the sound system.. which should make any Husker fan very happy after seeing how pathetic the sound system is in our badass stadium.. 8)

I haven't been to Memorial stadium in a few years, how bad is the phone reception in there? Better or worse than the Clink?

The sound system upgrade is what I'm most excited about.. It has needed to be upgraded for at least 20 years but with the prospect of coming stadium expansions it wasn't viable with the changing acoustics of the stadium. This will be a massive upgrade to the gameday experience!

Inside and out, the reception in that area is pretty bad.

Fan experience enhancements coming to Memorial Stadium
KETV wrote:A $12.3 million improvements project is underway, which will bring a new sound system, wireless network and an Internet television system to serve concourses, clubs and suites. Officials said the planned wireless network will be the largest collegiate stadium installation, offering wireless coverage to reach a greater area and allow for more connectivity. Work began on the wireless network on April 28.

For phone it's been fine for me for the last 2 years. I know the one year Verizon was the sponsor (part of the All Tel buyout) they made some upgrades. I have Verizon and have had no issues making calls. Data though is brutal.

The addition of brick on the exterior west side should make everything look a lot more cohesive.

This is really dumb but they are adding brick to the west side? I've missed that.

Wait...what? Are there any pictures of this?

I'm all for cohesiveness but, and I thought the west side already had SOME brick, but there's more?

There's no pics online, it was at the end of the wifi/sound system article on huskers.com. Some brick company is donating it.

The bricks on the west side most be at or near ground level only. Did not notice them Saturday.

They are not really 'bricks'. It is bricklike facade that they attached in sections. Matches real well to the rest of the stadium. And yes... it only goes up about 15'.

I'm curious how the construction on this project is progressing. Is there a webcam? Have they started steel work yet?

Nebraska football posted a video on Twitter about a week ago. A significant portion of steel has gone up already.

Good. Hope this is permanent. I know he kept ragging on helium prices, but the real issue is the environmental impact of the balloons themselves.

And having to hold onto until the 3rd quarter...
