Lincoln Children's Museum among top 20

Post by eomaha »

Here I always thought Omaha's was pretty good... apparently Lincoln's is ranked in the top 20 in the nation. Guess I'll have to take me grandkids (when I have some) there... since my kids are too old now.

If you haven't been there, the Lincoln Children's Museum is MUCH better than the Omaha's version (and Omaha's is already good). Lincoln's is really that much better, from the structure itself to the exhibits inside. I don't want to rag on the Omaha Children's Musuem because it is really nice, but the Lincoln one is in another league.

I served my service hours in LCM and it was pretty nice, especially for Linclon. I have never been to the one Omaha though, so I can't really compare.

Lincoln's Childrens Museum is fantastic. It is superior to Omaha's, although Omaha hired Lincoln's museum director away in its continued efforts to improve. Its also nice to see that the Minnesota Children's Museum in St. Paul also received recognition. If any of you are up here with kids, it is definitely worth a stop, along with the Science Museum of Minnesota, which is close by.

I remembering hearing a while back that Omaha's Children Museum will be completly renovated and remodeled. They even had renderings (well drawings) of what it would look like. Does anyone else remember this?
