This is one that they should look at the Qwest Center for!
“We had bid for it a couple of years ago but there were some weight issues then,” said Butch Hug, NU assistant athletic director for events.

“It hasn’t been decided yet, but right now we are thinking that Devaney would be the option.”

The weight of the lanes and the forklifts required to move lanes into the arena were issues, according to Hug.

“(The) basketball (floor) is a floating wood floor and you can’t put pressure on the floor. The company has been working on a way to lighten the lanes and think they have come up with one,” Hug said.
Sun Valley Lanes, as well as the Ice Box at State Fair Park, were mentioned in earlier discussions.

Nope. The Qwest and Civic are movable because the function as other arenas, like for Hockey.

The Devaney arena has always had a basketball-only floor, and thus (i assume) is not removable.
