This should be the view from the future "civic plaza"  I think.

I could see this building from the stadium yesterday.  The parking is done and it has two floors of apartments done, two more to go.  This building is considerably taller than what I was expecting, very cool.

Did they have to apply for special permits with the FAA for such an impressively tall structure?

The complex will be known as "Parkhaus."  It means "parking garage" in German

OK, I know we're in Nebraska, but that doesn't mean we failed kindergarden, lol!

For next week's German lesson, "wiener" means "hot dog"!

Here is a link to the apartments. I met with the lady and will be signing my lease next week. She said that a Panda Express, Chipotle (which will be moving from its current spot on 13th between Q and P), and a Mutual of Omaha bank will be moving into the retail space; there are also two more open spots under the retail.

The building is topped off and a lot of the facade is completed.  The building actually is visible from most viewpoints, looks great

You may already know this but you need to use a third party hosting site as you do on many forums.  Here is a thread from the Photo portion of the forum with some decent step by step instructions on posting photos.  IF you need any added help please ask!

Can't say I'm too fond of some of the materials they're using on this but still too soon to make a final judgment

Some news on the civic square.

Japanese sand gardens inspire the concrete concentric circles that will surround a five-story, multi-colored, lighted glass tower at the downtown Lincoln Civic Plaza.

Downtown Lincoln Association is such a joke.  I cannot believe they were opposed to this.

I didn't expect that to be in the open lot there. I always figured it'd be a smaller building or like a community garden. That's....just interesting looking.

Yeah, but that's only because the "L-Dude" would have been been lame.  Wait, "O-Dude" is pretty lame too.
