That is an interesting perspective Edsas. I've never looked at it from that angle.

I've only focused on the ultra conservative right wing Republican image that hasn't carried a Democrat since Johnson or Kennedy. The state is so Republican that even the Republicans won't campaign here. And then the World Herald, a bi-partisan paper(whatever) has not endorsed a Democrat since Kennedy.

I'll get off the soapbox now.

Maybe Republicans Omaha's suburbs are different, but the Republicans in Western Nebraska tend to be of the Libertarian variety moreso than the Christian Conservative type (although there are those, too.)

Yeah, that's more accurate. But you will find a Libertarian streak out in the panhandle.
