Complicating the matter are discussions going on in Lincoln about building an entertainment and sports arena on the site of the main post office, which would have to be moved.
If that happened, would it make it easier to move the big Lincoln processing operation out of town?
Postal consolidation?

It would be a bit of mixed news for Lincoln if their PO did get consolidated to OMA. The obvious bad news is that Lincoln would lose those jobs, etc. However, Lincoln was also considering relocating the downtown main post office and putting their arena there. If their PO did close, it would save them the cost of relocating said PO.
