Mayor Seng not running
Looks like Colleen Seng will not be running for reelection in Lincoln. I hate to jinx such an important election for Lincoln by saying "it couldn't get any worse than who they have now", but...
It can't get any worse than who they have now. Hopefully this will open the door to more progressive leadership for a long overdue city.

The Journal Star liked her. I don't know what that might mean though.
Best to judge Seng's term in a few years

Lincoln Journal Star wrote:Mayor Coleen Seng served the city of Lincoln with extraordinary dedication over a 20-year elected career. Her service was distinguished by unselfishness and humility that is rare among politicians. Those qualities were appreciated by voters, especially those in the northeast City Council district that elected her to four terms.

Beutler to Announce Plans
This would be a good choice for Lincoln, especially if your a Democrat like myself.

Yeah, I remember talking with a few of the local media folks who had interviewed her as well as moderated debates. They said that at that time she seemed like she was pushed into running. They thought that she didn't really know the issues as well as the opponents and that she seemed like she didn't want it as bad as the others did.
