Alcohol can be a good thing (i enjoy it from time to time) but incorporating one of the two faux pas of good conversation is typically not...even when it is with people of similar view points  I keep my religion in church, my politics to a voting booth, and only my beer in a bar!
We already do this every Monday. Â After our UNO Democrats meeting, we always meet at Clancy's and have food and drinks. Â The talk is usually less politics and more average social interaction, but its still similar.
