That would actually be really awesome for a little bit.
When fortune smiles on something as violent and ugly as revenge, it seems proof like no other that not only does God exist, you're doing his will.

Southwest Jet Makes 'Crazy' Landing at Wrong Airport
By DAN GOOD via GOOD MORNING AMERICA

For passenger Hunter Poole, the landing of Southwest Airlines flight 4013 was just plain "crazy."

The jet, carrying 124 passengers, landed at the wrong airport in Branson, Mo., Sunday, 7 miles away, on a runway about half the size of the intended destination.

That's what I was thinking.

They did say on the news that Branson's Airport does not have a radar so they couldn't tell the plan there were going to the wrong place.

On January 3, 1969 a United Airlines Boeing 727 bound for Eppley mistakenly landed in Council Bluffs. I love Google.

Strip club owner must put in windows, then paint them so no one can peek in

I can't get the article to load, but as I understand it. Even though they had permits to remodel, now the city says they need to install Windows to meet code, but then they need to paint the new windows because its a strip club!

This Is What A Happy Meal Looks Like After Two Years Of Just Sitting There
A chiropractor's office is displaying a 2-year-old McDonald's Happy Meal in hopes that it will persuade patients to avoid fast food.

"We wanted to make patients think about the food choices they were making and what is really in their food," Andrew Rivera, director of Bridge Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Omaha, Nebraska, told Business Insider.

He shared a photo showing that the cheeseburger meal is nearly intact.

Not all coroners are required to have medical degrees, it depends from state to state and county to county.
If he was at a nursing home (in Mississippi) and an RN found no pulse, and the coroner agrees...
Before we had funeral homes, the supposed deceased was placed in the family's parlor,
Where the family spent the night watching for him to 'wake'. Now wakes are just formalities.
Believe it or not, some people have been buried alive...

Nebraska does not require the coroners to be MD's. We had a Douglas Co. Coroner in the 70's that was a lawyer and political apparatchik who had a pathologic fear of dead bodies.
Yes, you read right.

Mom called him to pronounce a person dead at the nursing home and to investigate the cause of death as she had recently been in the hospital. He came to the nursing home and asked my mother to do it (not legal) and then when refused, he went to the doorway, looked at the body across the room and said "she looks dead to me."

He signed the form. No further investigation or examination done.

Having worked at UNMC, I can tell you there are only a few occasions where a death turns into a 'coroner's case' where they have to make a legal determination, old age is not one of them. In fact in your case I am surprised he actually agreed to show up.

All deaths within 24 hours of transfer from a hospital to a nursing home are medical examiner cases till cleared by the coroner. When we have a terminal child, we have to call the sheriff and the coroner for the county so that when they are transferred to hospice and die quickly, they don't end up being a coroner's case. Age is not an exclusion to the 24 hour rule.

Snakes loose in pet store after reported theft
KETV wrote:OMAHA, Neb. -
One person is in custody after a reported theft from an exotic animal store in Omaha.

Officers were sent to Bart's Exotic Pet Store on South 84th Street on Monday morning.

Omaha police said officers spotted the suspect standing next to a shattered door at the front of the store. He ran back into the building and out the back door, carrying a large snake, police said.

After a brief chase, the suspect, whose identity has not yet been released by police, was taken into custody.

Police said there were "numerous snakes loose inside the building."

Some snakes at the store are valued at more than $1,000.

Construction workers unearth legendary cache of Atari games in New Mexico desert
Back during the so-called video game crash of 1983, a struggling Atari was stuck with truckloads of the game and other unsold hardware. With little recourse and a crashing interest in video games in North America, the company decided to dump its excess merchandise into a landfill, according to reports at the time. The story was never confirmed, however, and it's carried on as a legendary tale from a time when video games were near worthless. It reportedly cost Atari millions to get the rights to produce a video game tie-in to the incredibly successful Steven Spielberg film, but the resulting E.T. game was a massive flop and it's considered one of the worst titles of all time.

Man, 35, kisses his way through an Omaha Walgreens before licking an employee's head

A particularly passionate shopper pecked his way through an Omaha store last week in a series of unrequited encounters with customers and employees.

Police say a 35-year-old man kissed and groped women and a man inside a Walgreens store on April 23.

He continued to make his way through the store at 72nd Street and Crown Point Avenue, tossing items as he went.

Girl Gives Her Bullies ‘Semen-Filled’ Cupcakes
Authorities in Bakersfield are investigating a tenth-grader who passed out cupcakes said to be filled with semen to students who were picking on her.

According to WPTV, a Centennial High School student said that the girl put pubic hair, semen, expired food and pills into the cupcakes she handed out to her classmates on Thursday.

When the students asked the girl why the cupcakes tasted bad, she told them it was because she had placed bodily fluids in the cupcakes.

Bakersfield police Sgt. Joe Grubbs said Friday that the cupcakes were made with household kitchen items such as mayonnaise, barbecue sauce and soy sauce, according to KGTV.

Young Iranians Arrested For Dancing In 'Happy' Pharrell Video

[BBvideo 560,340][/BBvideo]

Age: 25, Crime: Happiness
About a month ago, 6 Iranian boys and girls (in this video) danced to the famous song by Pharrell Williams called "Happy" on the rooftops of Tehran and uploaded their video on the YouTube. It was widely distributed in the social media. The police decided to track them down and arrest them and make them repent in front of the camera. It then showed this capture on the national TV channels as a bunch of deceived Iranian youth who regretted their deed. In the past 35 years, Islamic Republic has managed to steal freedom and happiness from the Iranian youth and replace it with a culture full of mourning and sorrow. We, too, are human. We, too, have the right to be happy and live happily and learn how to be happy.
Leave us alone!

The emerg plane landing that took place early this week in Omaha was do to medical issues and the person threatening or trying to open an emerg door. Is there truth to the story about the medical portion of the event being that the person was attempting to make themselves "feel good"? Have seen that reported but not in the main stream media.

Germans Invade Nebraska

Post by nebugeater »

Well maybe Invade is a bit of an overkill but here is an interesting story of some unexpected overnight visitors in Cass County Nebraska

Kind of a near read.

Ah, Nebraska weather — known killer of Sunday golf rounds, lazy days at Branched Oak Lake and a German couple’s hopes of winning an international ballooning competition.

Heinz-Otto and Marion Lausch had been flying for more than 45 hours and 675 miles earlier this month when bad weather forced them to ground their gas air balloon north of Alvo.

Cass County Sheriff’s deputies were soon there to greet them.

Two days earlier, the dentist and obstetrician took off from New Mexico as one of seven teams competing in the 19th America’s Challenge, part of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and one of two such competitions in the world.............................................
