Aerial Photo Requests?

Post by Brad »

I am shooting Aerial Photo's tomorrow morning. Weather should be perfect. If you or your business needs any aerial photos, shoot me an email at brad@bradwilliamsphotography.com and I will send you the details.

Besides the commission work I am doing, I plan on getting several of my own photos around town as well. I will post them on here as time permits.

It should be a small red helicopter, if you see one, that's me. It looks like my avitar photo, but red. You may see it again on Sunday above the ballpark too!

I am not sure this is the picture, but it would be cool if you could get an aerial view of the stadium full with the downtown skyline in the background. I am not sure how low you are allowed to go.

I think I remember you mentioning that the one pilot flew really low but the last time you went, they wouldn't go that low. Any idea how high up this photo was? I just like the lower altitude because it makes the buildings downtown appear larger.

I like the lower angle because I like some building to break up the horizon line. I would guess that one is between 600 and 700 feet.

Yeah that is prob true, judging that it looks like you were about even with the First National tower, which is 634'.

Here is my current flight plan, but things could always change. Its basically a big loop.

Start at the Millard Airport
1. Wenern Park Area
2. Papillion Area
3. West Bellevue Area
4. Possible Plattsmouth (see how time and weather permit)
5. East Bellevue Area
6. Rosenblatt Zoo Area
7. Downtown Area
8. Midtown Area
9. Aksarben Area
10. Way North 72nd Area
11. West Maple
12. Village Point Area
13. West Pacific Area
14. Western Sarpy County Area
Back to the Millard Airport.

I don't know for sure, but isn't it true that if you're looking horizontal, the horizon is always even with your eye level? That would put you at about 2/3 the way up FNB, or approx. 350-400 ft.

That's what they always told us in perspective drawing class anyway.

I can't wait to see the new pics!

Not sure if you'll get the opportunity, but it's always interesting to see the UNMC, Midtown, and downtown "skylines" in the same shot.

I was hoping to get that again also. I haven't been over UNO the past couplet times so I don't have it. Should be able to get it tomorrow.

That might be hard depending on which runway Eppley is using. If they are using 36/18, it may be tight if there is traffic, hopefully its a slow day and/or they are using 32/41.

.

There was a second helicopter in the area today scanning power lines.

I circled the zoo/rosenblatt a couple times and we weren't moving that fast.
