This is pretty cool, hopefully this will help to make the I-80 corridor look a little more impressive.

That last rendering would suggest that OTC is going to be adding on an annex towards the southwest as well...huh.

Thanks for posting these Coyote!

Yep, they've already raised dirt for what looks like a new addition (which makes sense since I wondered why they didn't finish painting the building on that side).

According to The Gross & Welch Real Estate Group this $32.5 Million, 600,000 sq ft building was just Phase I for OTC's 1.2 million square foot facility there.
And according to OPPD " The company may expand its operations in the future to include a $21 million processing center, which will provide jobs for 400, and another warehouse, which will employ 100 employees."

So it is only half done right now.

I forgot to mention here that I think the first restaurant will be a Lazlo's, and they still mention the date - Spring of 2007.

I check and the developer still owns all the lots according to the county. However I don't know how long it takes the county to update its records, but it is usually very fast.

This project may now be dead. There is a new sign covering the old Shoppes on Giles sign - Land for Sale... Anyone know for sure?

No, but I thought it was out of place.  It should probably be more industrial with everything around it.

Looked today. The sign and rendering are still the same one from way back. I think I have a photo of it somewhere.

However there were crews doing some sort of utility work today on LOT 6 BROOK VALLEY II BUSINESS PARK ( NE Corner of 117th and Virginia Street). Not sure if anything is going or not. Still shows it to be owned by the same group that owns the rest of the block.

Too bad they couldn't do a two story building for Olsson Associates to take office above the retail bays. There is a perfect example at Aksarben Center.

I wonder whey they are leaving Aksarben for the Sarpy County Strip Mall? They already have a small office in a Sarpy County Strip Mall right around the corner from this new building.

The apostrophe in 'Shoppe's' on their signage on site is killing me. Pretentious marketing spelling paired with improper grammar gives me high hopes for this place.

Could they be consolidating both locations? That does seem odd to have two offices so close together, especially in retail bays.

After the built a new office in Aksarben Village, then built a new office in the Railyard in downtown Lincoln, it just seems odd they would consolidate to this location.

Hmmm ... I haven't noticed the apostrophe in any of the material I've seen. Sure it wasn't an error which some copy editor finally noticed? I admit that pretentious spelling (shoppe, pointe) as toute la mode du moment is getting old, but I hope they don't extend this to pretentious punctuation as well!

Although I don't know, the most obvious scenario is that they are just relocating the Sarpy County office, and keeping the aksarben office.

I just heard back from Olsson, they said they were completely out of room, so they needed larger digs for their Sarpy County offices...

I wonder how much is going to be actual retail. So many of the other strip mall units in the area have been rented to be used for offices for various trades (construction and the like).

No doubt there will be a chiropractor in that strip mall. Every strip mall seems to have one.

The dirt moving here is for a QT. Building permit for 11626 Virginia Plaza is listed as QuikTrip on La Vista’s city website. Looks to me like one of their newer-style buildings with the big kitchen, doors on three sides, etc. I’d imagine it will do really well there.

I think that's all they build now. That kitchen must be a big profit center, although that's hard for me to understand, never seem that busy.

In Platte City, MO, just outside Kansas City, they tore down a very large QuikTrip and built a new one next door in the new style, that's how much they like it.
