Basically some computer ran a simple algorithm an cranked out those cities and as we all know LaVista is not a very snobby place. The computer does not know it but Chalco is not even a city. I clicked on their list of the "10 most ghetto cities" and it was much more accurate!

Papillion is listed as the 2nd most snobby city in Nebraska. The same website has Papillion listed as the 3rd most redneck city in the state. I guess those rednecks are some snobby folks!

I don't think these lists really work in Nebraska. They're too predictable.

Gretna?

Chalco? It's a has-been former whistle-stop farm town! Most definitely not snobby and most definitely no art galleries, theaters or high end housing. Where are they getting the data?

Lol, look how the ranked Ghetto:

Household income levels
High school graduation rates
Number of convenience stores
Number of drug stores
Number of discount stores
Crime
Twitter mentions of #ghetto

No wonder Omaha is Ghetto, we have a Walgreen's on every corner! LOL

I'm guessing they come up with all these stupid lists and then make money off add revenue...

I think you'd really need to break it down further than simply naming a city as being snobby. At least down to neighborhoods. Better yet, individual people.

A better algorithm to run would have been the most snobbiest neighbourhoods in Omaha. That I would have liked to see! lol

Haha I live in chalco. There's maybe two decent neighborhoods there, and I don't live in either of them. Take a drive down chandler between 144th and 156th and you'll see what I'm talking about.

LOL, exactly!

That would drive Omaha right up to the top of the list!

The industrial park on the East side of Highway 50 is basically a pseudo gated community which thumbs its nose at the world.

I see Wymore was one of the least snobby cities. I used to have to go there at Christmas to visit my grandmother. Apparently it was a thriving community in the 50s and 60s, but it was already extremely depressing in the 90s. I once saw a barefoot child playing outdoors with a loaf of bread in the dead of winter. It's like Missourah down there.

Lol. Wymore/Blue Springs... It's not a terrible town. It's basically a typical rural Nebraska town that's lost 20-30% of their population since people started fleeing rural communities in the 80's.

It's not too depressing, but it's very obvious that it's not what it once was. (Actually, the Blue Springs side of town, is a disaster)

You want to see real shytholeville, go to Ohiowa or Hebron.

To add a little more levity though, I recently was at a Restoration Exchange meeting concerning Omaha's building demolition process and one of its committee members remarked that he has been a forum member since he was 14. Some of you know who I am talking about. He will soon be a bright star in our community. All of you younger kids on here... Rock on! Go for it! Omaha needs your voice.
