1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza

Post by Coyote »

1000 Degrees Pizza is entering the Omaha market with two locations. One in the Blue Sage Retail Center on the SE corner of 204th and Pacific and the second at the 180th and Q Hy-Vee, the bay next to Tide.

Uncle Maddios was a total bomb.. And their quality of food (lack thereof) was their undoing. It's hard to imagine a pizza place any worse than Maddios..

Let's hope 1000 Degrees brings a quality product into the market...

Probably true..

But for a pizza chain making it's first entrance into a very competitive pizza market, I'd say Capitol District would be a tough place to cut their teeth...

I think a fast casual would be a good fit for the Capital District. DJ's and Local have good "event" menus, but sometimes you want more than burgers and nachos.

The one near 180th & Q opened recently next to HyVee

I know a few people that work at that Hyvee. The new Pizza Place didn't make a friendly neighbor impression with HyVee the other day per what I am told. 1000 Degree had employee's go INSIDE Hyvee and hand out full pizza's to Hyvee Customers. Many of which got handed out right near the HyVee Italian Express. They even gave a pizza to the employees working at the Chinese express. Don't know how many got handed out but I was told it was a LOT.

Now I am one that is all for competition but this is a cheep shot. Based on what was shared with me they either knew exactly what they were doing or got really lucky. They chose the time of day when almost all of the management on at the time where in their reg meeting and there was only rank and file employees out to say anything.

And with that kind of move, I will never set foot in there.

I kind of agree with that.

I hesitated to post this but I trust those that I heard it from and am sure that it is fact and not blown out of proportion. If someone can prove otherwise I will gladly delete the post.

Late last week when we did our weekly grocery shopping to deliver to parents out of town I noticed that the 1000 Deg Pizza location next to HyVee at 180th & Q has closed and there is a for lease sign in the window.

Anyone know if the other area locations are still open or planning to reopen.

Neither location has a Facebook page anymore.

Pizza was good, but a bit pricey.

The MyPie on 120th & Blondo closed last November or so as well.

Javis Taco

Post by nebugeater »

The Location by Hyvee on 180th & Q isn't going to sit empty long after 100deg closed.

This sign is up and looks like a taco place is moving in.
