Of all the celebrity deaths that have occurred over the last year or so, it's funny that a guy who wouldn't really be considered a celebrity, has actually invoked the most emotion out of me. This was the ONLY reality TV I ever watched and Phil was by far my favorite person on the show. His gruff, tough, no nonsense attitude and especially his relationship with his boys reminded me a lot of my own Dad. It's going to be a tough season to watch as I believe they were right in the middle of filming when this all went down.

Phil certainly didn't do much to help his situation, unfortunately. Even after the first blood clot issue he continued to smoke and drink redbulls like crazy to stay up on the fishing trips. It still sucks. Rest In Peace, Capt. Phil.
