Regency - Shopping Center (Shopping Center 120 Regency Pkwy)

Like I've said... Omaha may not have the single mega mall... but each of our smaller centers continue to add to their niche offerings.

Regency attracts clothier, eatery
From the World Herald...

A casual apparel store and a national steakhouse restaurant will open in Regency Court later this year.

Blue Willi's is based in Denmark and distributes to 25 countries worldwide. The Regency Court store, scheduled to open in early August, will carry a full line of men's and women's collections, with an emphasis on denim, made primarily from natural fibers. The 1,440-square-foot store will be across from Borsheim's Jewelry.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will occupy a 7,000-square-foot, free-standing restaurant now under construction on the southeast corner of Regency's parking lot. It is expected to open this fall.

Fleming's will accommodate 200 people and features a private dining room. Its menu consists of aged beef, chops, fresh seafood, salads and vegetables and a wine list of more than 100 vintages.

The Omaha location is among several the company is opening this year. Other locations include Cleveland, Tucson, Naples and Coral Gables, Fla., San Jose and Pasadena, Calif., Denver, St. Louis and Baton Rouge, La. Fleming's was founded in December 1998 in Newport Beach, Calif.

John Lund, president of the Lund Co., owner of Regency Court, said in a press release that the Blue Willi's and Fleming's are part of the long-term plan to re-establish the center as the host to the most distinctive retailers and restaurants in Omaha. Both are new to Nebraska.

Among the other national and local retailers at the mall are Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Williams Sonoma, Ann Taylor Loft and the Linen Gallery, which opened last fall as part of a $10 million renovation project.

"The renaissance of Regency Court continues, with more exciting changes to be announced in the months to come," Lund said.

Looking at another RED Development site plan... I'm seeing a reference to L'Occitane... which my wife says is a nice cosmetics boutique.

It is a very nice cosmetics store....we have one in the Biltmore Fashion Park here in Phoenix, and there is one in Beverly Hills, also....that would be a nice thing for Omaha!

It has been stated here that "Bonefish Grill" was coming to Regency Court.
http://www.regencycourtomaha.com/comingsoon.asp

In todays building permits:
Regency Court LLC, addition and remodel, $3,349,500

That is a LOT of money to rehab the old DiCoppia's and maybe expand a bit.

It doesn't look like they will meet their "Spring 2006" goal.

nebport5,
Thanks for the opening info.

I noticed that Bonefish is a subsidiary of Outback Steakhouse. Does this imply that Bonefish will not be open for Lunch?

Outback, Carrabba's, Cheeseburger in Paradise and Flemming's, none do lunch.

It's really north in back country and you have to drive on a lot of dirt roads to get there.

But isn’t surfside on Abbot Drive? I guess that can be considered by the river but I think there is another one way up north of the park too.

Abbott Drive? You mean North River Drive?

It's way north of the Mormon Bridge, beyond Neale Woods.

You're right, it is Surfside, Jeff. It sits directly on the banks of the river. Quit a nice place if you like the local places, which I know most of you do.

If you’ve never tried it you should, and also (even more of a dive) you should check out The Alpine Inn.

Today's World-Herald says that a new 5,000+ sq. foot restaurant will be going up in the parking lot outside the mall. No tenant was named.

I'm assuming it's the place depicted in the rendering?

Lease/site plan for Regency Court shows a restaurant called The Quarter with an outdoor patio in the empty space next to Tilly's. It also shows the center pond eliminated and replaced with a bar and a reduced fountain.

Haven't we had this same rumor posted on this forum multiple times in the past 15 years? I'd put it in the same round file with the NFM moving out west rumors.

Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma have signed new leases, this time extending for three years. Pottery Barn Kids did not, and their last day of business was today.

Saw this sign on Paradise Bakery at Regency this weekend. That location will close on May 2, leaving the one at Village Pointe as the only one left in the metro. Will miss this as a great spot for lunch when out doing some running around in the area.

Interesting. A California restaurant group (Tableside Partners) with a bunch of California restaurants is going to open a random location in Omaha?
