The project's developers announced the new business Tuesday and held a ceremonial groundbreaking at the site.
The hotel developer, Midas Hospitality Group, said it wants to build close to Children's and Methodist Hospitals and sees an unmet demand for an extended-stay hotel in the West Dodge area.

i'm curious how this will all be oriented. It looks like it won't have the best access i've ever seen since you can really only get at it from 1 side street on 76th and entrances on dodge right before 80th. it could be tough for whichever retailers will be building here since westbound traffic picks up speed after 76th without there being any lights for a few blocks. Many people may just drive by as a result. Or maybe it won't be that big of a deal to folks, who knows?
The structure appears to be going up and the windows are now going in. On a side note, does anyone know what going on west of the hotel? It appears they are building a foundation for another building on the corner.
Last Sunday, while waiting for my mother visiting a friend in the Nebraska Methodist Hospital, I took these Photos
of the Staybridge Suites and the 80th & Dodge area from the 8th floor hall windows between the towers.
Its a bit odd but mostly because we are used to these things in suburbia with a big front yard of their own. As much as this isn't spectacular, I'll take nested because it means they wasted as little space as possible.
