just south of that plaza not across the street - a stand alone building - north and across the street from Brother Sebatians. It used to be a great dairy place I just can't remember its name.

I don't remember it as a Runza but could be - by the time I moved back to Omaha that neighborhood was a haven for Hassidic Jews - they have the House of Chabad there on 120th just south of Beveridge - used to be an Episcopal Church - and the Bagel Bin is Omaha's only Kosher Bakery.

The building I am talking about was south of Big Fred's. It was a Runza, then a Crane Coffee.

Yes that's it - I forgot it was Crane Coffee when I moved back - it has had quite a history I guess. I think it became the Bagel Bin around 2004.
If I am not mistaken I believe it was originally a Goodrich Dairy.

I came to Omaha in 1992, and the Bagel Bin has been at the 120th and Center location at least that long. For several years I stopped there regularly on my way to work, and I was always everybody's favorite co-worker when I arrived bearing a bag of Bagel Bin treats. Panera's locations are more convenient now, so I have not stopped at Bagel Bin in several years.

the bagel bin was never in the runza/crane coffee stand alone building. It has always been in the strip mall just to the south of that building.

Bagel Bin wrote:The oven was delivered today and unloaded. Now it will take about 5 days to put it all together. It is like an erector set, lot of pieces with a gread finish. Cooler and freezer are in and compressors to be connected. Sheet rocks up there today and ALL walls will be in by tonite. Production is moving fast and with luck wholesale baking may be in two to three weeks. Hang in there with us we are trying for a fast opening.
