Wild guess with out looking, probably a "Job Box" they keep all the tools in so they don't need to carry them up 8 floors every morning.

I thought about that as well, but most of the activity i've seen has been on the lower 6 floors and this thing is the size of a shipping container. idk. prolly is just an uber job box.

In reading the news about TD Ameritrade's possible takeover of E-trade, I couldn't help but wonder if this new HQ will end up being too small if the takeover happens and the company decides to move more jobs to the Omaha area. I know there are some big "ifs" in that statement, but it will be interesting to see what, if anything, happens.

Good morning! I've been reading this site for a while, but this is for first ever post.

Just so we're all on the same page, Brad's photo shows 12 & 13 (roof) going up. Those very top columns have 12th floor beams in the middle of them and the roof beams will be at the top of those columns. Just didn't want you guys to get your hopes up and think it was going higher than this!

Drove past this morning and notice that glass is going in on the 3rd floor on the southwest side.

If I were the construction crew, I would've requested them to start on the north side to work on blocking the wind this winter.

The more I think about this building, it's really quite strange. I'm certainly not complaining that they chose to build taller, but the Floor Area Ratio seems to be such that it's not providing any more real density than a typical two- or three-story sprawling suburban office building.

It's height without density.

Actually, studies show that well lit areas are more vulnerable than pitch dark areas... reason being, there are shadows to hide in. Likewise, criminals need lights themselves to see... security can easily SEE them (if in the dark) as a result. Lights provide a false sense of security which continues to persist in spite of such revelations.

I wonder if the light green color will be the final exterior? It looks kind of cool, especially heading north on I-680 and from the Big Papio Trail, but I wonder if it will look good in 30 years. I guess it's not that important considering all of the jobs there will be to fill the place.

I got a closer look at the building yesterday. I am guessing that it is the final color. I thought the pattern seemed a little random, but looking at the rendering again, I think its going to even out after they get more than 2 floors up.

Sure, I will try to get one later today. I was waiting for them to get another row of glass up, but they seemed to stop after 2 floors.

The jury is still out on the color of this building I take it? I guess no judgments can be made until we see the finished product. For a while I thought maybe the designers were even second guessing themselves because there was about a month break in putting up new glass. Would the color be described as a tea green or a pea soup green?

I don't really mind the color, just not the weird pattern of Windows. I am not going to make up my mind until I see it done, but at this point, I do like the more traditional south side than the other three sides.

Not much has really changed since the last photo update, there is only one more row of glass. They stopped for a couple weeks with the glass.

Too funny, I google searched "TD Ameritrade Headquarters" and clicked on Images and it showed images from this forum. Here is the rendering I found via google on page 4 of this thread:

The white squares are not the lights that are left one, the are different patterns in the glass. Much different looking in person. I will go get a close up of it when the sun comes back out.
