Jimmy John's (114th & Dodge) Former BP Gas

They started removing the old BP gas station on 114th and Dodge? Did I hear there is a Jimmy John's going there?

Jimmy Johns is moving there. Jeff Beals mentioned it on the Good Morning Show last week.

Thanks! I haven't listened to the podcast yet. I kind of got out of the routine after they were off for Husker Football 3 weeks in a row!

The BP just moved down the street. It was a tough location to get in/out of. Not a lot of wiggle room.

I wouldn't be surprised if maybe another restaurant/fast food location opens in the next year or two with TD Ameritrade relocating the additional workers there to the area.

That entire Old Mill area needs to be torn down and rebuilt. It seems that there is a lot of wasted space.

Old Mill still has a lot of low-rise buildings that could easily be replaced....as those that were to make space for the Ameritrade The problem with Old Mill, though is that there is really only one way out. It will get more congested in a couple of years.

After the New Year, they actually started working on the building. Looks like they are doing more Demo. It was fun to actually see the old Aamco colors for a bit.

I hope they are still tearing the building down and completely replacing it. I wonder why it's taking so long? And if they are tearing it down, why are they even messing w/the removal of some of the siding/capping on the building??? -pehaps to recycle?

I think they are going to remove the car wash, but the building will be remodeled.

In the past week, Jimmy Johns at 114th and Dodge went from Nothing to basically done! So done looking I even saw a car try to go through the drive through...

I can't believe how much they changed the building. It looks impressive! I didnt' even thing the old BP building would even stand a chance of looking like it does today.

I bet this location becomes the top revenue producer in omaha out of all of the Jimmy John's.

Last i had heard the one on 72nd was the top location in the entire company. That was a few years ago though.

If i still worked in that area I would probably just drive a little further South to Little King but they're getting to be expensive now.

That little King recently Changed owners. The guy with all the Rocks and Dragons and other stuff is gone.

Bummer on the dragon guy. He was entertaining to say the least. Did Little King the corporation get sold, or just that store? I was under the impression that all the Omaha stores were corporately owned.

That little JJ's/$bux/BK area is going to compete with the Chipotle/$Bux/Noodles at 72nd & Dodge for congestion. Starbucks is already a clusterfck in the mornings.

The JJ's at 72nd and Dodge has next to no parking and seems to do just fine. Granted, I imagine they do most of their business from the drive-through and deliveries.

It still amazes me on how they took the gas station that was in bad shape and turned it into what they did. I didn't think there was hope, then I drove by it every day and saw how they did it... I was proven wrong. They really fixed up the corner there on 114th. Very impressive! 114th and dodge has changed quite a bit over the past 4 years...with the Burger King Renovation, the tear-down and rebuild of McDonalds, and now Jimmy Johns. It's nice to see!
