Cool, I can't wait to try the October Fest!

Some side notes, We took the tour again last Friday.

1. Normally a tour would have 10-15 people. Friday's had close to 100
2. The Rum is done, they are waiting on bottles to arrive
3. They started with 4 fermentation vessels, they now have 12, and 4 more on order
4. The Whiskey will be done Friday 2/1/2013. They are going to have a party at 7pm.
5. They have a new bottling machine. The only one filled 6 bottles at a time, the new one does 24.

Yes and no. They have 3 bays now, but all the brewing/distilling is still done in the end bay. However it seems way more organized and condensed in there.

It seems like most of the Octoberfest celebrations are usually in September, but may be they are getting the beer on the market a little early to get the word out before hand?

Probably a little early, but I figured I would grab one since it was there and caught my attention. I found it at Hy-Vee on 50th and Center. I would guess they are getting to pretty much everywhere this week if it is at a supermarket.

I don't think its in bottles, someone told them they should bottle it on their FB Page.

I got a 6er of the Octoberfest. Its cooling down now. Hopefully it will be ready for these storms to roll in to town.

The Lucky Bucket Ride includes a fun ride around Chalco Hills and an after party behind the brewery, to benefit Make-A-Wish Nebraska and Omaha Bikes.

The fun ride will begin at 7 p.m as hundreds sport their "bike" at the Chalco Hills Recreation area. Riders will start at the Natural Resources Center and then bike around the beautiful Wehrspann Lake, a 245 acre lake with a concrete bike path surrounding it. The bike path is surrounded by 940 acres of beautiful outdoor scenery. The ride will consist of two laps around the scenic lake for a total of 12 miles. Once the ride is over, bikers can go the brewery (2 miles away) for an after party.

Lucky Bucket encourages colorful and creative costumes, the crazier the better. Also encouraged are bikes of all sorts: street bikes, tandem bikes, mountain bikes, cruisers, tricycles, unicycles, big wheels... if you can pedal it 12 miles then bring it! There will be prizes for craziest costume and most unique "bikes". Adults are encouraged to be as joyful and carefree as children for the day.

Course: Paved bike path
Distance: 12+ miles (depends on how many laps around Wehrspann Lake)
Includes: Free Custom Ride T-shirt, Entry to Beers & Gears After Party, Two Drink Tickets Good For Beer, Soda, or Water
Requirements: Helmet, Must be 21 Years or Older

North Downtown for example. Of course anywhere would be better than an obscured industrial zone. Hopefully the brand grows enough to have a dedicated retail locale.

The good thing about tonight is you can go hang out and eat, then since its a long drive home to downtown, you can stop by the Greek Festival at Canfield's and have a Gyro... :;):
