According to Grow Omaha, Office Depot (which just closed its 717 S 72nd Street Store) is going to open a new, and much smaller location in the former or soon to be former Schlotzsky's building on South 72nd Street.

Raising Canes will be less than 3 blocks from that location.

None in Omaha but https://www.facebook.com/RaisingCanesChickenFingers asked about it here and why would Office Depot leave a shopping center to go to a Outparcel?

Raising Canes is building where Family Fun Center was at. RAISING CANES DISCUSSION HERE: http://eomahaforums.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=12829

I heard its what some chain retail stores do before they go out of business... Circuit tried the small store concept in some cities at the end too.

Raising Canes is building where Family Fun Center used to be. There is a seperate thread on it. They are also opening in the Westroads sometime early next year. You are correct that there are none open in Omaha but they are getting close.

I've seen rumors that Office Depot and Office Max may eventually merge. I don't understand why office supply chains have so many retail locations. Outside of back to school season, you don't see more than like 5 people in a store at any given time.

Yes, my inability to interact with the printer cartridges and pens I buy was a primary reason why I never shopped there.

I was thinking the same things. How much do I need to interact with the blank DVD's and DVD cases that I mail out photo on?
