Pinpoint Rewards - Omaha

I have been using pinpoint for a while on my iphone. I had no idea it was an Omaha based company and working its way to expand to other cities? Has anyone else used it?

We get some great deals and if a few people have the app in your house it works even better!

I use pinpoint all the time. I first saw it at the Spaghetti Works about a year ago. Many of the restuarants give you buy one get one free as a welcome reward. It is great to use and try a few places that we have never been, while not spending too much. They also give you rewards based on how much you use it at each restaurant. I tell people about it all the time and everyone that has started using pinpoint loves it.

This is kind of on par with Mort Sullivan and Golden Corral, but I never had a chance to use their program. I signed up, but they closed my account when I asked them to unsubscribe me from an email list.

My wife and I use it all the time, its great. I absolutely hate having a loyalty card for every frickin place I go to...

Great thing about pinpoint is that your card is on your smart phone.

Take note HyVee, Walgreen's, Bakers, DJ's and every place with a stupid card that makes my wallet fuller... Get a frickin App... its 2013 and we don't need more cards in our wallets.

BTW, I HATE key chains, so those "cards" suck too!

The scanners have problems with barcodes displayed on my phone because of the screen. If NFC takes off and retailers adopt it, I see that as a better option going forward.

It takes them several days to activate an account. I enrolled on a Monday and was not confirmed until Friday. Much more than the 24-48 hours they say.

The app locks up alot as well.

It has never locked up on my iPhone - I think it works very well

This app is still limping along. I use it as a few restaurants my family frequents use it, but the app hasn't had an update in forever.

yes I agree, the biggest one I still use is Spaghetti Works. Other than that, not a whole lot on there anymore. I wish there were, at one time, it was a nice incentive to have repeat visits to a restaurant.

Spaghetti Works, Varsity Sports Café & Roman Coin Pizza, Pizza West, and Charlie's on the Lake are the only places I use it at anymore. La Mesa used to be on it, but left PinPoint when they launched their own mobile app. Looking at their short merchant list of 15 businesses it really makes you wonder how they keep the service running.

We get a random email from them every once and a while, but I never do anything but hit delete. Seems like a lot of restaurants and bars have switched to the Toast rewards system which is so much easier to use. Link your card and it does all the work itself.

Yes, DJ's Barrett's, RTG, Gandolfo's, Omaha Taphouse and more.

That's a good thing as their app is "dusty as heck."

According to the Apple App Store, their last app update was 9 years ago when they released version 3.0.10.

Still, I don't know what keeps that business afloat.
