I have heard a total count ranging around 75 stores but never I have seen an exact number. At this point I am sure there is one though

I have not seen anything that is fact but there is some speculation that they will be message board type signs. There are a couple along the exit hwy too.

I am going to try and take some Pics again this weekend.

Along Interstate 80, five 50-foot-tall digital pylons that will advertise the mall are now in place. Two other pylons will greet motorists traveling on Highway 31.

That sounds about right. I was thinking 3 on highway 31, but whatever, in person they are HUGE!

The layout reminds me of Tanger Outlets mall in Glendale, AZ... much better than their original renovation plan... about the same store count as the Glendale mall if they lease it to 100% as well.

Wow I didn't think it was going to be that huge... This is actually really exciting to finally have the chance of having a legitimate Outlet Center.. one that sells name brand clothing for cheap!

Probably a missed opportunity to have Southport, Werner Park and Nebraska Crossing all separate. Those 3 rolled into one would be a heck of a destination.

Even the old “Nebraska Crossing” water tower is due for a face-lift, Yates said, and will be transformed into a digital beacon for the $112 million center.

Wonder exactly what that means....are they going to outfit a part of the water tower with a digital sign? Haven't heard any mention of this so far.

True but why would I drive all the way out to an outlet center if I can get all of their men's offerings between Kohl's and Marshall's? If you factor in gas its probably cheaper to swing into the Mall for their shoe stores.. just sharing my observations and hope that women have deep enough pockets and have willing boyfriends drive them out there to keep this new place in business. A successful outlet center has prices that are so much cheaper than mall prices that its worth the drive.. not seeing too many places here that don't have cheaper counter parts in town.

By my count, of the clothing stores for adults, 24 out of 31 (77%) sell men's clothes. That's really on par for any mall

As far as the dominant spenders, that would be men. However, men make much more calculated, larger expenses, such as investments, homes, and vehicles.

And those picture do no justice to the impact these signs will have. The spacing is closer than expected. and if the signs are lit up, they will be very impressive as you pass by, even compelling I believe. Better advertizing than other outlet Malls that I have been to, plus the ad signs on the buildings themselves...

Yates said the addition would have space for 20 additional tenants and likely won't be complete until late 2014.

As originally planned, the $112 million, 350,000-square-foot mall, at the intersection of Interstate 80 and U.S. 6 and 31, is scheduled to open Nov. 15 with 65 retailers and a few restaurants.

Yates, who is developing the mall in partnership with its majority owner, Frank Krejci of Omaha's Century Development, said only five retail spaces remained open. Forty-five spaces are leased and tenants have been announced; another 15 potential tenants have signed letters of intent. He said he expected the mall to be at least 95 percent full when it opens.

That is pretty freaking impressive. Not even open yet and they are planning on needing another 100K sq feet.

“It's just raised the bar here for Omaha and created a lot more interest than we initially thought,” Yates said. “We've heard from the brands, the retail community — there's desire to expand the center already.”

Several tenants already committed to the project — including some that haven't been named — focus on a teen audience, Yates said, while some of the tenants interested in leasing space in an addition are geared more to the “affluent female shopper.”

“More New York-based-type retailers that we haven't gotten designed in the first phase would be our target retailers for the expansion,” he said.

Yates said he would not move forward on an expansion unless he had 70 percent of the space committed. Then an expansion would have to prove feasible on the available land. Project architect Larry Smith said the development includes about five parking spaces for every 1,000 square feet, and the expansion would require about 500 more spots on top of the current 1,800. That might require double-decker parking.
