The offer code is: RACEHP

It states that the offer is good from 12/1/13 through 3/31/14. Reservations must be made by 1/31/14.

Just plugged the offer code in for this Friday, which is the first night the hotel is open, and a room with tax is only $92.80 after the discount.
Thought I would let everyone know in case they wanted to be the first person to stay at the hotel.

Nice photos.

I don't much care for those curtains behind the storefronts though. Hopefully they are just temporary until something more interesting starts going on inside. Some kind of darker translucent mesh blinds/shades would look better. The hotel signage is disappointing too....would have preferred something more creative...maybe with steel beams, channels, etc. to fit in better with the Old Market district. But I guess they had to use their corporate standard signage.

It's amazing how much presence this building has in Old Market. I think it fits in with the surrounding architecture pretty well too.

The have been outside a number of project over the past year. They stand outside projects that employed non-union workers for their construction. The funny thing is the people behind the signs aren't even in the unions, they are paid by the hour by the unions to stand there with the sign.

They have been all over DT according to my mom who works in the state gov building on Farnam. She had to laugh because the second or third time these protestors were out a HUGE thunderstorm rolled through and drenched them haha :lafcry: :mrgreen:

Hope whatever shady union they work for pays them well. Perhaps they can form their own counter-union to fight for the union to provide better working conditions.

I really love the presence this building adds to the area. It makes it feel a lot more dense and urban, and even though it is a hotel on top of a parking garage, I still think the architecture is pretty sharp.

Anybody else stay here? A friend of mine came to town and we stayed here for the Super Bowl last weekend. Just wanted to stay Downtown and out of the house for something different and a little more special.

The last hotel in town I stayed in was the Cottonwood, and honestly it was just too nice for my style. When I looked up rooms, this was literally in the top 5 cheapest on the list. I said SOLD. I couldn't believe it was only $105 a night. Fairly new, in the heart of the OM and Downtown.

It was a great experience, stayed on the 9th floor, walked all over Downtown, came and went as we pleased as we weren't confined by no parking or valet. It was surprisingly and pleasantly low key for a nice stay.

It was perfect for us, I was just astounded it was only 20 bucks more than the comfort inn on Maple. It was a very easy decision.

I believe I stayed there in 2016, and the views of downtown were reallynice. If I recall, it was more than $10 per night to park there, so in my opinion it would be ideal to ditch the car. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to go to the zoo during the day and enjoy downtown nightlife in the evening.

It was $15 per night, but definitely worth it to have the freedom to go anywhere, vs being confined to the bus or Uber, especially with it being Saturday and Sunday. Almost wanted to splurge and stay at Hotel Deco, but I think they wanted $250 and no parking. So the price was great and the convenience was also great. Breakfast included (got my moneys worth there for sure).
And the views were amazing, plus being IN the old market. I definitely will be staying there again, even if for little to no reason at all. I will find one lol

We stayed here on our wedding night almost ten years ago. Unfortunately, we were too tired to enjoy the views and the location. Hotel prices everywhere in the US certainly have gone up since then. On that stay, we paid $108 for a weekend night including taxes.

I’ve never stayed there always thought it looked like one of the better places to stay downtown because of its location within the Old Market. It blends in well with it surroundings too.

I must be the outlier here. I kind of think it sticks out some. Also not a huge fan of how prominent the parking part of it sticks out as you look at it.

I thought the new Moxy did a much better job of blending in to the Old Market.

I think we were all critical of the parking element back when it was built. But the way I look at it, it's essentially a 6 story hotel, one ground level and 5 above that. But instead, with the parking, it's 11. 6 stories, sure it would have fit in fine with the surrounding buildings, but to me, 11 is much better. Having the parking attached and the extra height to our room totally upped the experience for the better.
