One of the best BBQ Restaurants anywhere! Its just north of Downtown Lincoln east of of I180 and on the north side of the Cornhusker Highway in the strip mall.

The place is casual, you order at the counter, then pick a table enjoy. The place is absolutely covered in awards, trophys and ribbons from all the BBQ contests.

1. The whole reason we go, the Burnt Ends! (Leaglized Crack!)


2. I would put the ribs right up on the same level with the Burnt Ends, they were great too!

4. Baked Potato (Its under all the meat)


They did have BBQ Sauce, but I didn't use a single drop because the meat was so good, it wasn't needed.

It is a SW address. That is the address on their updated Web site and Facebook page. If you map it it goes right to where Brad indicates, just off of W O Street.

Yeah, it's on west O street on the south side.

You're probably correct. However, I think of SW addresses as more down in the lower lettered streets.

Phat Jacks lost their lease and had to move. Today they re-opened at the Southwest Corner of 84th and Holdrege. 8320 Northwoods Drive.

A popular barbecue joint in the capital city has closed up shop.

Phat Jack’s BBQ announced the closure Wednesday in a Facebook post.

“After 15 years of service to the Lincoln area, we have made the decision to close our doors,” the Burt family said in the post. “We would like to thank everyone for the support.”

The restaurant, near 84th and Holdrege streets, served Kansas City-style barbecue.

It was just never the same after they moved to the 3rd location.
