HI! I'm new to the site because my wife had a retirement party set for fox & hound this Fri. they just called to tell her they are closing their doors TODAY! Am glad we didn't put any money down.

I googled Fox and Hound and the 120th and Dodge location is reporting as permanently closed.. So there is some confirmation of this..

An updated article in today’s W-H indicates the chain could not negotiate a lease agreement with the landlord and they closed immediately..

In reading the tea leaves, my guess is that Fox and Hound will be looking for another Omaha location to set up shop fairly soon...

If I was going in that direction, I would go to Tanners next door. Not be best in the world, but so far the best Ive had in town. Oscars is terrible btw.

I do remember that. Out in Legacy on West Center. From what I remember, that store closed due to lack of business.. This one on Dodge, from what I understand, was doing a pretty brisk business. Perhaps they won’t re open in Omaha.. But I’m thinking they will.. and somewhere in the general area of where this store was located...

Not sure about level of business but we went to the one on Center fairly often and I remember it being normaly busy right up to closing

It would be interesting to know when the lease was up or how quick the decision was. In my food service days you'd have 2-3 days of perishable inventory on hand. That's a lot to try to transfer to another store, especially out of state.

Apparently the old Fox and Hound building will be demolished and used for parking. Menards also remodeling and expanding some of the outdoor areas.
