Ironhide Construction has been given another fantastic opportunity to build a new concept project in Omaha. The project is called The Garage at 204. This facility will be Omaha's only private car condo complex located at 204th and West Center Road. It will feature a private community and private clubhouse for the purpose of Car Clubs, Charitable Events, Sponsored Club Events, and Car Shows. See the pictures below for more information.

Re: The Garage ar 204
I thought I misread the "cars condo" phrase, then thought it a joke, but they aren't kidding. Anyway, I do hope they can build this as a place to get together with car enthusiasts. It's overall a neat idea.
Also, is there something like this by Hyvee by Center and 50th, just west? It is a two or three story brick building and I saw a really nice collection of cars on the first floor.

Re: The Garage ar 204
Ehh. As a car enthusiast, i have to say, car condos in omaha dont make a whole bunch of sense. Cool someone is doing it....but....
Omaha is probably the worst metro to own a nice car. Roads, salt, potholes, limited seasons, traffic. In other cities, Condos like these are usually attached to major racetracks, well, unless thats what you call 204th.
And, if i had enough money for this, id just build a man cave on my luxomansion and have my other 2 freinds come over and crack some oban.
If i lived near this, id go full nimby. Likely to attract the wrong crowd.

From a different Thread
Peter Fink, owner of Certified Transmissions, has recently purchased the Gordmans building to display some of his cars.

Victory Lane - Omaha (204 & Center)
Been watching this place being built over the last months. Located on the SE side of Hwy 6/31 and West Center Road.
The company doing this has other locations in Vancouver, Naperville Il, Chanhassen Minn, and San Antonio.
Looks these are owned bays (Condo style) and not rental space. with a $2,000 annual maintenance fee.
Not for someone living paycheck to paycheck for sure but I am guessing this will fill up fast and they will move on to their phase 2 that is mentioned. Opening later this year it looks like but that is behind their initial opening estimate.
Basic Unit Includes:
All units 42-6″ deep x 20′ tall
6″ Concrete Floor
1 each 12″ Round Floor Drain
200 Amp Electrical Panel
2 Each LED Ceiling Lights
4 Each Electrical Outlets
Fire Sprinkler System in Each Unit
Floor Heat Pre-hook-up
Plumbing Pre-hook-up
Metal Stud Walls
Drywall 4 walls (upgrade options available)
Insulated Walls and Ceiling
16′ Tall Garage Door with Glass Panels
Automatic Garage Door Opener & 2 Remotes
Cable/lnternet Service Pre-hook-up
Multiple Unit Sizes Available
On Site Amenities:
Gated Campus with 24/7 Key-Card Access
Camera & Security Monitoring Service
Club Car Show Events
Exterior Security Lighting
Landscaping
Public Restrooms
Shared Trash Dumpster

From what I understand you can install your own in your unit. For service or storage of a vehicle.

It looks like this has been successful. I saw recently that they were expanding and that new units will be/are available.
Their website says that four units are remaining in the phase 2 build. It looks like the total add is 14 units.

I wish I knew where I went wrong, LOL. Would never imagine spending as much or more on a house for my cars that's away from my real home... And you have to have a lot of $$$$ to swing this. But, congrats to those that can!nebugeater wrote: Tue Oct 29, 2024 8:17 am It looks like this has been successful. I saw recently that they were expanding and that new units will be/are available.

Re: Victory Lane - Omaha (204 & Center)
I do know that living in Gretna and the location for Victory Lane I feel like I see a LOT MORE premium cars between VL and the Interstate. I attribute it partially do people heading out from their storage or people coming to events that are there.djc311 wrote: Tue Oct 29, 2024 8:19 amI wish I knew where I went wrong, LOL.
