Spruce 180
Spruce 180 is a sub-division of single-family homes ranging from $350-500K in the rapidly growing northwest Omaha marketplace. The single family development serves as one component of an overall mixed-use commercial-residential project called Spruce 180. Woodsonia assisted in the acquisition of the property, created the subdivision’s layout, and managed the design and construction through completion of single family home sites.

Re: Spruce 180
Ok found them 384 units were proposed. We have a thread "Antler View (192 & Maple)" as well. Thank you. I will move the map pin. Looks like 1st occupancy was May 2108 but still phasing in. I will call them done on the Apartment List. We might want to merge these two topics. Website https://www.antlerviewapts.com/

Antler View? Lol. That's like saying "Horn View" or "Tusk View" Apartments. Lol.Coyote wrote: Sun Apr 07, 2019 6:57 pm This thread is more about the Spruce 180 proposed development around Antler View.
I can get pushed out because I'm "too much" for some. Then, an observer of me comes suddenly swooping in to "fill my shoes." People are always more accepting of the new one, because their feathers aren't truly ruffled by them. (Yawn) I can count on it every time.

Re: Spruce 180
And, that's what is cute/funny to me is these quick spin-off names because of the town of Elkhorn nearby. Plus, that doesnt really make sense to me. If it were "Antler Park" or "Antler Woods" or "Antler Creek" or "Antler Meadows" it would make more sense to me. To pick the natural growth/rack/extension off a wild animal, and attach the "View" with it, doesn't work the best. (Unless, they are thinking of the view of antlered elk in a meadow, or something... But, notice "horn" and "tusk" doesn't work at all.) Anyways....Coyote wrote: Mon Apr 08, 2019 7:36 pmIt has a good view of Elkhorn (Antlers).RockHarbor wrote: Mon Apr 08, 2019 2:06 pmAntler View? (That wouldn't stop me from living there, if in the market for an apartment. They look really nice. Ive been naming my own subdivisions since a kid, grabbing a dictionary & thesarus, so I simply think about neighborhood names...)

Re: Spruce 180
Good thinking, I have to say... But, I dont think they ever name a subdivision because of a nearby school's mascot. Ya know? If they did, we would see names like: "Bobcats View" & "Cyclones View." & "Tigers View" & "Bears View." Ect. (Lol)ScrattyB wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2019 8:05 amElkhorn....the school. The Elkhorn Antlers. Re: Spruce 180
You guys... Seriously, its probably nothing more than a thoughtless, spin-off name from the town of Elkhorn nearby. Instead of calling it "Elk View" (because it's probably taken by now), they simply grabbed the main distinguishing feature of an elk, an antler, and just whipped up a name with the word "antler" in it. Yet, it doesnt make sense.
Me: "Hey there!! Finally calling you as I promised... Yeah, I'm finally in Tanzania now, for the Peace Core. We arrived a week ago. Yeah, its really different here. The food takes some getting used to. Several of us just moved into these 'Tusk View Apartments.' So, we are getting all settled in."
Friend in Omaha: blah, blah, blah.
Me: "Elephants?? Did...did you ask if I can see elephants from my complex? You're kinda breaking up. It's hard to hear on this line..."
Lol
