The owner of Crossroads Mall and a developer from Denver have a new 350 million dollar plan that will be made public soon. Included in the plans is a 50,000 sq ft outdoor recreation store, 480,000 sq ft retail furniture store, a bowling center, two 1200 car parking structures, cinebistro theater, an 18 kitchen food hall with an attached mercantile hall with 20 bays each up to 800 sq ft, a vertical green house, food truck park, and 600 apartments and 200,000 sq ft of office space located above an additional 100,000 of retail space. Target and the current parking structure are staying put. The owner and developer won't be asking for much as far as incentives this time around. Demolition could start in the 3rd quarter of 2019. Construction expected to take around two years as most of the development components will be built at the same time.

Not sure if this isn't the right place for this, but I actually heard from a legitimate source Yates is out and Krejci is partnering with the developer of Sterling Ridge. They supposedly will have more of an office and residential focus over mall retail.

Are you talking about Lockwood Development? If this is true, I think that is good news. Yates has his hands full with NEX (which is doing well) and I felt that Crossroads was too big for his development group. I would love to see residential at Crossroads. With ORBT and the Metro, that spot is a perfect place to live without a car since people could easily get to work if they work somewhere near Dodge or the CBD, and there's already established groceries, retail (Target), and restaurants in the area. Please let this not be a joke!

I am on the same boat. I hate to have the attitude of something is better than nothing, but if Lockwood is involved I at least have greater confidence that something will go through, even if it is not groundbreaking.

This is incomprehensible to developers in the 21st century. Basically a foreign language.

What I said wasn't 100% accurate. There have been legit buildouts, but our mayor currently doesnt have the ability to discern which developers are capable of fullfilling on proposals and which are not. Such as Noddle, he is good for 80% or better on his promises, which is a very high rate. We just have to do a better job wth discermment.
