I think this development actually would fit in better at 10th and Pacific instead of 90th and Pacific.

While certainly an improvement for density, I don't think they are really thinking single-family homes.

1.34 acres divided by 7 homes = .19 acres each. That's larger that a typical Celebrity home lot.

Is it denser than before? Yes.

Was the home there in disrepair? It looked like a neat estate-like property. Notwithstanding, the increased density is nice, though, as ScrattyB said, it looks like a development that could be downtown.

The home that was at this location was a home built by I believe my great great Uncle Eugene Melady. The home was beautiful and I believe my grandpa has some old pictures of the home from the 1920's with a Model T out front. At the time it was built it was way out in the country and from what I have heard from my family is that the city wanted to name a street around the area after my great great uncle, but he declined that and wanted to call it Shamrock road instead due to his Irish ancestry. I hate that they tore the home down to build these manufactured homes, but that is what some call progress I guess.

Thanks for the input. I am glad I asked about it. I usually like new development infill, but is too bad that house is coming down for this development.

So now we are missing a mansion and have absolutely nothing to show for its destruction. Just sad.
