ALWAYS super loud in there after 7pm even if there wasn't a band playing. Bartenders are slow and would rather serve their regulars than people who have been waiting to get an order.

That is why my group of friends stopped going there and we followed the crowd to the Good Life. Saturday night was the busiest I've seen Two Fine in months.

I have always been curious who does the voice for their radio spots. The guy with the bad Irish accent. He does a lot of voiceovers.

Two Fine Irishmen at 180th & Q has reopened. I assume there's some change in ownership, management, "chefs" or all three. I'm not really sure on the details.

My question would be is it still the same food. “Irish nachos”! :?:

Oh man, Irish nachos is so lame. Serve actual Irish food if you're gonna call yourself an Irish bar/pub.

All of the above as far as I know. The owners of Skybox and Voodoo went in on this. They expanded the kitchen, added a wall on the west side and made general improvements as far as I could see. A lot of the workers have come from those two bars. The service has improved from 3/10 under the old ownership to a 9/10 with the new. I have stopped in three times when it was not that busy and was happy with the experience.

Two Fine Irishmen closed without notice this weekend.

Guess the employees were told with a group text.

One rumor was that they sold the place but nothing I have seen to back that up.

Hmmm - well, if it was sold it seems weird they'd terminate all of the staff. Unless the sell includes a change in bar names/concept. Even that doesn't seem like something you'd text all of your staff about. Hard to say of course without more info. If it's some sort of scandal I'm sure it will come out in the news somewhere!

After I posted this earlier I went to look at their Facebook page. Their official page had been taken down. Their website was also taken down. Not sure what other social media they were on but guessing the pattern holds and they are down also.

For those that are old enough I am guessing there is a Paul Harvey "rest of the story" to this.

So, the new ownership held on to it for 4 whole years. There have been a lot of bars opening in southwest Omaha over the last 5+ years. I'm guessing competition has increased significantly.

Drove by their location last night and a truck was out front with a large trailer taking items out. I didn't study it too closely to see if it was tables/chairs or things such as kitchen equipment, bar equipment, etc.

Nextdoor thread this AM said the bar and stage were removed yesterday. No idea what else, but these items were mentioned along with the assumption that it would go down to a bar shell.

Heard from someone that is in a band that played at Two Fine that the new tenant is going to be a strip club?! Does anyone think there would be any truth to that?

That is all over next door, too. I really have my doubts about this. ( If so, why take out the stage  )

Maybe the existing stage wasn't "pole friendly"? 🤣

I hope this is true. the meltdown that would ensue would be epic. And, that part of West Omaha is starved for that kind of attraction. People out west shouldn't have to drive to downtown, Iowa, or even 120th and Center. Make it happen! lol.

This is Nextdoor:
50% - I lost a dog/cat. I found a dog/cat. Seriously, the pet-related posts are incessant.
20% - Stranger danger! SAHMs getting the vapors every time they don't recognize someone. This stranger is in my neighborhood or rang my doorbell. Does anyone recognize him? Or, this strange car has driven past my house 3 times. Doesn't anyone know who this is?
20% - Complaining about drivers. "These darn kids need to slow down... grr..."
10% - I need a tradesmen. Does anyone know someone who does flawless work for pennies?

I get evil amusement every time someone asks what's going in some new strip mall or whatever. I always respond with some mix of: Pay Day Loan, Planned Parenthood, Gun & Pawn, and Adult Novelties.

Two Fine Chicks at the same time, man.

They probably don't want to pay for the extra letters in signage though.

Does Omaha allow strip bars? I had heard years ago that there was no nudity allowed. They have to be "bikini bars."

As long as they're not serving alcohol, they're allowed to go fully nude.
