How do people have so much extra |expletive| lying around to warrant all these storage centers?

Y’all need Marie Kondo.

I agree with you. :banger:

I was thinking this had been mentioned somewhere in another thread awhile back as ir was in the paper about how the neighbors weren’t thrilled with the new coming view of storage units.

That is the business name with Multiple locations. There is one in Gretna too. Not to go out on a limb but guessing the first was on Pacific with no thought of expanding.

Can somebody PLEASE ban storage units! I can not think of a single greater waste of space on a main intersection or thoroughfare.

I HATE STORAGE UNITS!

There legitimate needs for these but many are used for just excess.

I have used them when moving and I was between houses for 6 months and in an apartment. Was a life saver at a cost better than dealing with a moving company. Actually used two units that were larger so we could get to things if needed during that time that they were in use.

Used a smaller one for much of one of daughters things when she moved from an apartment to back home with us for a year when when her collage had her in both Lincoln and Omaha and her Lincoln roommate moved out if Lincoln. Made since then too.

What I do agree with 100% is the location of some if these is stupid. Need to be off the beaten path.

I wasn’t referring to this particular one, but many are built in flood plains.

For those worried about the South Pacific Storage name causing confusion the one in Gretna has been sold. Here is part of the notice that was sent. ( yes, I still have a small unit for the daughter's things while she is out of town and completing her Doctoral internship. )

Dear Valued Customer,

We are excited to announce that effective February 28, 2020 we will be purchasing South Pacific Storage Gretna location. We are a family owned business with experience in the storage business and look forward to expanding our knowledge with Gretna. The new name will be Community Self Storage and our phone number will remain the same

All of our existing customer pricing will remain the same, but our automatic payment plans will need to be updated. If you are set up as an automatic credit card payment or ACH payment monthly and did not receive a separate form or want one, please contact the office or reply to this email.

We will be in the office starting February 28, 2020, please stop by the office and introduce yourself. Beth, the current manager, will be staying on during the transition in March and is available now if you have any questions.
