The newest apartment element at Sterling Ridge is called Avidor. 162 units for ages 55+, Rents will be $1,800 to $3,000. Amenities include a pool, sun deck, outdoor grills, pet was station and an activities director. Website not finished but see https://avidorliving.com/communities/

The Christian church had an open house this weekend and the Tri Faith Community Center had its groundbreaking. This is a really great addition to the City. For anyone, who is interested in giant dirt mounds, you should visit Sterling Ridge. It's awesome the amount of construction that is taking place at this development.

I live very close to Sterling Ridge..

It’s been a long time coming, but the construction within this development has become quite impressive. Sterling Ridge will also be the new home for Linked In..,

Drove through today. Looks like there is construction going on at the west end of the building housing Scooters.

Trio was replaced by "The Tipsy Pig". Seems to be another lounge style bar. No food, from their website (odd, given their name). I believe they've been open for a week or two now.

There are a lot of Tipsy Pigs in the country. This one swears not to be a franchise. I may try it. The bay to the east of Charred, is getting work in it.

That spot has been a huge open space. It's across the courtyard thing from Charred. Yes, please clue us in on what this will be.

Didn’t see any form of signage, and it appears that they were doing drywall and floors.

It'll be somewhat of a casual takeoff from the owners of Twisted Cork Bistro from what I understand. Similar Pacific Northwest themed, albeit with a larger bar and slightly more casual menu. I'm hearing that 2nd hand at this point so that may not be exactly right, but the fundamental info is solid. I think it's great for both Twisted Cork and the development personally, should be a good fit. Twisted Cork is amazing and while I like Charred too, something catering to a slightly more refined crowd yet still not "fine dining" should be a welcome addition.

I do like that Avidor... It's kinda typical, yet different, and all around nice at the same time, imo.

Pacific is going to be seafood alley. Twisted Cork, Shucks, and this place. Given the crowd at both Shucks and Twisted Cork, you would think this type of place would work.

Tipsy Pig is a step up from Trio, though the cocktails aren't as good (at the same price). I like that they've "dirtied" it up a bit. Trio was a little snooty and sterile IMO. Music is much better now too. If they can get their drinks priced in the realm of the reasonable and figure out a way to get some food in there i think they'll kill it. P.S. - it appears to be owned and run by Lockwood. Just hired a GM from somewhere.. Kind of an interesting business strategy. Surprised more developers don't dabble in retail.

Very exciting, the couple times I've been to Charred I left disappointed. Will be nice to get another true restaurant in there.

Sorry, composition on these shots are terrible, but for those who are interested the senior housing project is moving along and is getting siding and the steel is going up on the Linkin office, which, by the way, is looking huge.

This has been sorta a sleeper project. I didn’t realize it would look this good. It’s keeps getting better all the time. Agree the new Linked-in building looks impressive.

It might be just me, but I really appreciate the level of detail Lockwood dev put into this project. The buildings all compliment each other well. The landscaping, fountains, etc., give it a great feel. We need more of this in Omaha real estate.

Really? This is a terrible use of this massive lot. It is a Strip Mall, Suburban Office Buildings surrounded by surface parking, a large apartment building, three churches, senior living, and some McMansions.

How do you get from the residential to the strip mall? Is there a street grid? Do any of the residential, or office buildings have ground level retail? Couldn't Churches who mostly only draw crowds outside of regular business hours share parking with the office buildings?

Take everything that is built or being built here and drop it into an Aksarben Village type model. You would have a great start and tons of room for more development.

Good point..

As someone who lives in the immediate area of this development, I like it. I was skeptical at first and hated seeing all the trees cleared out once the development began.. But overall, once finally completed, it will bring a nice element of vibrancy and commerce to the area and I’ll never be opposed to that...
