Penn Station Subs (3 Metro Locations)

Post by Padre »

I saw some material on press releases that said Penn Station East Coast Subs was going to be targeting Omaha for franchise development. When I pulled up their website, their map says they have one store at 168th and Center, but no other information, like it is not open yet. Does anyone else know something about this?

I did this summer. I thought it was pretty good. Interesting that many sub shops don't offer fries with sandwiches, but they do here. I understand that people want a healthier option, but sometimes it is nice to have something of more substance than a bag of chips.

When you pull up their website, they list a location on 80th and Dodge, with no hours yet. I wonder if they are going to go into the building they are putting in just West of Beverly Hills Plaza, next to Jimmys Egg.

their hot italian is one of my favorite subs around. I think they would do extremely well on 80th and Dodge

They make their own fries from scratch and they're delicious!

They are opening in Wolf Creek Plaza in Bellevue on Sept 18th. Will be next to Verizon and Gamestop. I am sure they will do well.

Penn Station East Coast Subs is Coming to Town

Penn Station East Coast Subs started in 1985 with its first location in Cincinnati, Ohio. Over the years the business has grown to more than 300 locations across the country. The new spot in Bellevue will be the third to open in Nebraska. There are two Penn Stations currently open in Omaha – one near 80th & Dodge and the other near 168th and Center.

Kieran Fetter and Steve Wagner recently discussed the Penn Station brand with the Bellevue Times and why they are so excited to open in Bellevue. Fetter and Wagner are two members of a franchise group opening this location. Fetter hails from Ohio while Wagner is an Omaha native.

Wagner grew up in Omaha and graduated from Millard South. He started his food industry journey working at Hy-Vee for many years. Fetter’s background is in agriculture and he would be a 5th generation farmer. The family farms about 3,500 acres back in Ohio.

Local entrepreneurs Josh and Courtney Kenney have acquired the Omaha area locations of Penn Station East Coast Subs through their investment company, JCK Capital. Penn Station is known for grilled-to-order subs, hand-cut fries and freshly squeezed lemonade. The restaurants are located at 168th & West Center Road, 80th & Dodge Street and in Bellevue. The Kenneys are evaluating opportunities to add a fourth restaurant in Gretna within the next two years.
