Hi
I will be moving to omaha in August to go to school at UNMC. I am wondering if you guys can give me any recommendations of a good apartment around Omaha. I would like:
1 br apartment, allow a dog (small dog), max rent of 650 dollars (or 700 if it includes all utilities), fitness center, washer and dryer in Unit is a plus, safe neighborhood, about 10 minutes commute or 5-7 miles drive from UNMC, and pay some utilities
I kinda want apartment north of highway 80.
I have look online on the following apartments : Bristol Square, spring tree, florentine apartment community, camlot village, village at grant square, keystone park, old mills, and lionhead. (are any of these apartments any good).
are thereany midtown or downtown area apartments that fits what I'm looking for??
Thank you for your help.

Check out Benson or Dundee areas. In most cities you wouldn’t be able to find much for your price range, but Omaha should have some decent options. Welcome to Omaha!

All of these places fit your price range, but they are not nice. Can't ask for much for cheap though. I think most of them have a pool/"fitness center", but again, not nice. It will be hard to find in-room laundry at that price. But you really can't do much better for the price, so I say go for it.Matrix wrote: Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:27 am I have look online on the following apartments : Bristol Square, spring tree, florentine apartment community, camlot village, village at grant square, keystone park, old mills, and lionhead. I don't know if I'd call them close to UNMC, though. Most of those that I see are in Northcentral to Northwest Omaha. Like, after dinner and before the morning rush, your commute might be 10 minutes, but most of the rest of the day it will be pushing 15-20. There are many smaller apartment buildings in Dundee and Benson that will get you much closer to UNMC, probably at a competitive price, but I don't know how to find them.

I'd look around Blackstone and UNMC. Great, older buildings are everywhere!

The price might be tough, but you could get by with walking to UNMC.
