Parliament Pub on 12th & Harney needs to lose its liquor license. it is the new home of the Maria Sangria / Denim & Diamonds / Hive crowd, and is the source of most of downtown's near constant late night issues.

One might think the onwers - one a partner at Flagship (Blue Sushi, Plank, Roja, Blatt, etc) and his partners there - would be more concerned with being better custodians of the Omaha restaurant and bar scene.

Yeah, you'd think Lund would want the murders caused by their |expletive| tenants and business partners to be a little less frequent.

Riff raff’s gonna riff raff. This might sound weird, but maybe it’s best to have that crowd all in one place, with heavier security. At least that way, those who just want to have a good time will know where not to go. With all that's being built downtown, I'll predict an eviction on the horizon, but the problem will just move elsewhere.

That is true, but somewhere other than the north side of the OM would be better. Granted that this place isn’t too far from Anna Wilson’s place, but even back then, they tried to keep it civilized. She made millions off the backs of the thousands of young women working for her, and while she catered to the vice needs of the day, even back then, they knew that violence Ike this was bad for business.

There is a lot of money in that ownership, too... I have to think they've already met to discuss options of more security, moving and/or closing. Honestly I was surprised to hear it was still open... bars downtown tend to last about a 5-10 year cycle before the new "thing" comes along.

It was extremely disappointing to see the news last night related to the idiot that ended up getting arrested for the murder - stabbed another guy 17 times only a few years ago but was ruled self defense. Regardless, it appears trouble seems to follow this and he shouldn't be let out anytime soon. I hope all of the accomplices get put away, too. I don't know the backstory and actually don't want to; should never come to what it came to.
