31st Main KC Price Brother's Tower

Post by strangerthings »

Proposed by Price about 2 blocks south east of Federal Reserve. The streetcar will stop at this corner iirc.

Over 30 floors multi-family, think there is more to it than some think.

I just saw this over on Reddit.

In my mind, good for them if they can do this. But it shows a few glaring issues with modern American cities. A single 30 story apartment, taking most of a block, surrounded by SFH and low rise buildings.

Still a win, being on their streetcar (ours can't come soon enough), but man this is going to look weird in the capital of freeways until some more infill hits the area.

At least they have something else on the block. If this were Omaha those other buildings would be a 3 story parking garage.

Agree. There is 350 unit midrise going in across main from this and the Fed reserve tower is just 2 blocks away. Starting to get some infill but the area is dead today.

IMO, It's not totally out of place. This is the corner it will be on and its only a few blocks from the Crown Center collection of towers.

Also, there are a few midrise towers to the west of the location already.
