Concert Predictions

Post by DTO Luv »

With many big acts releasing albums lately I suspect we'll see the following stop in Omaha.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Tool
Godsmack
Pearl Jam (edit)

I'm not claiming to know anything but these are all very likely to stop in Omaha.

RHCP would be great, they were excellent on their last tour when I saw them at the Civic.

That was my first concert ever. It was probably one of the best ever.

This is how naive I was. I had GA tickets and when I went in with my friend I was like,"Where are the chairs?" I was 16 at the time and had never been to any kind of concert before. The best part aside from the Peppers was all the titties. Tons and tons of titties. It's great being tall because all these chicks were wanting to get on my shoulders and flash the crowd so I got to be part of the action as well.

I saw Pearl Jam in 2003 in KC and Council Bluffs. The two best concerts I've ever been too. I've got my front row tickets for the PJ/Tom Petty shows here in Denver, both nights. Can't wait!!!!!

Radiohead is my fantasty Omaha show.

I'd also love to see more hip hop acts come to Omaha, specifically Kanye West, Jay-Z, Beyonce, etc.

Kanye West was here. You just had to fight all of us who bought tickets to see U2 if you wanted to see him.

We want Radiohead!!!

I'm definitely crossing my fingers for Radiohead to finally make it here. I'm still mad about Death Cab for Cutie coming here without Franz Ferdinand; I would like to see them as well.

My wishlist:
Madonna
Elton John
Billy Joel
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Panic! At the Disco

I am just glad the Qwest Center came along when it did. It seems like last year was a spectacular year for big-name tours, and the Qwest got most of them. It will be so hard to top the names that have come through Omaha.

Man, I tried to enjoy it at the U2 concert... I went in with a halfway open mind. And, well, still didn't work. Blech.

Well he sounds good recorded, that's for sure. Maybe they messed up on the technical board or he just sucks live, either one.

I've seen footage of him performing live, and if it's possible, it sounded better...

I heard the other day that Faith Hill and Tim McGraw would do the Qwest Center's Grand Re-Opening at the end of the summer.

I'd pay money to watch Faith Hill do the laundry (singing is a different story).

Who cares what it is? It will fill the thing and make Omaha money.

well glad you are in the minority when it comes to concert goers. :D That concert would sell out very quickly, but based on the tour dates that is another concert that will be hitting DM and KC instead of here this summer.

Radiohead isn't really even touring. They're just playing a few shows in like 5 cities to "test new material".

Real country is great music. Unfortunately, REAL country artists are all dying off, with the exception of Willie Nelson. The garbage on the air today is just redneck pop. It's the same thing that happened to metal in the early 90s.

I hope we get Poision's 20th Anniversary Tour to stop here. Rumor has it, they might play the Z92 Birthday Bash -- if they have it this year.

I also hope we get Def Lepord / Journey to stop by, they are together this summer.

I’m hoping the Steelhouse draws more smaller acts who usually skip us for KC. Knowing Nebraska they’ll use it to livestream the 3 night Kenny Chesney concert at CHI.

I would hope that it also pulls some big acts as well rather than playing at CHI. I feel that there's a difference between wanting to see an act and wanting to see an act and also having their music sound really good in a venue and CHI is more for the former.

It looks like Pink is going to play at the baseball stadium this summer, when was the last concert there? Seems like most big acts only tour stadiums anymore so maybe Omaha will get more concerts there.
